Welcome to the Reality Football League

I have been working on nonfiction about football for the past year or so, and have been astounded recently to watch the number of retired players suing the NFL regarding negligence in handling concussions climb exponentially.  There are now many more former players suing the league than there are active players in it, and the number is still growing. That led to "Franchise Mode: A Modest Proposal," a satirical piece published in The Classical, that proposes a new type of fantasy football.  You also can read an earlier essay of mine on The Classical:  "The Trauma and the Pity" covers Michael Vick, the Philadelphia Eagles, and concussions.
