A Glacial Lake in the Poconos
I have a profile in The New York Times today of Lake Harmony, Pa., a landscape in the Poconos that was formed when the last of the great continental glaciers, the Wisconsinian, edged up to the area about 15,000 years ago. Now, Lake Harmony's environs are known for skiing, golf, fishing, hiking, and other winter and warm-weather pursuits.

Dear Joe,
I enjoyed reading your story on
Lake Harmony. I would like to share with you another special
Pocono town which is Pocono Pines, PA. The town is home to Pinecrest Lake Golf & Country Club as well as Lake Naomi/Timber Trails.
These first class mountain
communities display a unique
mountain elegance with their
picturesque wooded settings,
beautiful homes and great amenities. Pinecrest has the
appeal of the Adirondacks.
Lake Naomi has been recognized
as a top vacation community.
Combined these communities have
a long recognized history of
premiere resort living. Personally, I am passionate about Pocono Pines and I am happy to
share with others. I am sure
your readers would love to know
about it as well.
Claire
